Basil and Tomato Sauce

Serves: 2 (as dinner)
Tomato Pulp1 ½ Cups
Tomato Puree2 tbsp
Basil (Chopped)12 to 15 leaves
Basil (Unchopped)4 leaves
Fresh Cream5 tbsp
Onion (Finely Chopped)1
Garlic (Finely Chopped)2 Cloves
Garlic Paste1 tbsp
Chili powder1 tbsp
Sugar1 tbsp
Butter2 tbsp
Parmesan Cheese, Grated4 tbsp

Method

  • Heat butter in a pan and saute the garlic and onion in it till onion turns translucent.
  • Add the Tomato Pulp and cook till it thickens. (about 5 minutes)
  • Add the Tomato Puree, Chili powder, sugar, salt & ½ cup water. Mix & bring to boil.
  • Add the cream and Chopped Basil Leaves. Mix well.
  • Add the Pastallio Pasta and mix.
  • Garnish with Cheese and Unchopped basil leaves. Serve hot.
